These cheese and turkey roll ups are perfect for adults and the kids! I used to bring these to office potlucks and they would vanish within minutes. Plus these used to be one of daughters favorite meals to pack in her lunch or when we go to the pool. All you do is roll and go!

Why You’ll Love These Turkey and Cheese Roll Ups

Ingredients You’ll Need

Although this is a Trader Joe’s inspired meal, you can use any turkey, american cheese or flour tortillas you like.

Four Trader Joe’s products on a marble surface: a package of flour tortillas, a pack of sliced oven roasted turkey breast, a container of spinach & kale Greek yogurt dip, and a block of American cheese.

  • Trader Joe’s Nitrate Free Turkey– You will use 2 slices in each roll up so that pretty much uses the whole 8 oz package.
  • Flour Tortillas– You will need 4 large tortillas.
  • Organic American Cheese– Use 2 slices per roll up.
  • Spinach and Kale Greek Yogurt Dip.  This dip is delicious and it’s 25% lower in fat than using a cream cheese based dip.

How to make Turkey and Cheese Roll Ups

Step One: Spread the dip on the flour tortilla.

Step Two: Layer in 2 cheese slices and 2 turkey slices.

Step Three: Roll it up and slice. You can also keep it whole if you prefer.

Storing

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Helpful make ahead tips

  • This can be made up to 24 hours ahead. Wrap it tightly or use an air tight container so the tortillas do not dry out on the ends.
  • Cheese and Turkey Rolls Ups are best served room temp or cold. If serving outside in the sun, place the dish on top of ice to keep them fresher longer.
  • Trader Joe’s flour tortillas have a little bit of a different texture than tortillas such as Mission Brand.
  • If you want a low carb turkey and cheese roll up, omit the tortilla all together and spread the dip onto the cheese and wrap it with the slice of turkey.

Serving suggestions and variations

  • You can always swap out for gluten free, spinach or whole wheat tortillas.
  • Strips of red bell peppers, sliced cucumbers or spinach give a little crunch.
  • Try adding a little heat with harissa or your favorite hot sauce.
  • Use up leftover roasted chicken instead of turkey.
  • Serve with fresh fruits, veggies and dip like my 4 Ingredient Guacamole or my Harissa Cottage Cheese Dip, or chips like sweet potato chips, plantain chips or pretzels. Or pair it with a refreshing smoothie like my Raspberry Greek Yogurt Smoothie or my Broccoli Smoothie.
