7 Easy Salmon Meal Prep Ideas for Busy Weeknights

If you’re trying to eat better and don’t want to overthink your meals, salmon is one of the best proteins. These 7 Easy Salmon Meal Prep Ideas are perfect for busy weeknights when you want a high protein meal on your table in under 30 minutes. Maybe you’re in the mood for something more filling like a Sheet Pan Salmon with Sweet Potatoes and Broccoli or something lighter like Salmon with Lemon and Dill. Whichever you choose, these recipes are all flavorful, simple and family friendly.

We try to have to seafood once or twice a week and salmon is always a winner. We do enjoy Cod or Mahi Mahi recipes as well such as Cod Tacos, Fish and Lentils, Pan-Seared Mahi Mahi, and Almond Crusted Cod.

My favorite store to get salmon from is Trader Joe’s. It’s already cut, cleaned ( for the most part) and the skin is removed. Costco is great too if you need a larger quantity.

How long does salmon cook in the oven for?

While it all depends on the thickness of the salmon, most salmon is done within 15-20 minutes. If you want to know how to broil salmon in the oven, that’s even easier- set it to high and let it cook for about 7-9 minutes (and that will vary again on the size).
