Salmon with Lemon and Dill (Easy Baked)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound atlantic salmon
  • 1-2 tablespoons garlic seasoning flavor god or your favorite garlic seasoning
  • kosher salt as needed
  • black pepper as needed
  • 1/4 red onion sliced
  • 3 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
  • 1/2 lemon juice of lemon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment for easy clean up. Place the salmon skin side down onto the baking sheet.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and the garlic seasoning. Then layer the red onions and dill on top. Squeeze the lemon juice evenly all over the salmon and place the slices on top.
  • Drizzle the olive oil and the honey. Place in the oven and cook salmon for about 15 minutes or when the internal temp hits 130 degrees. Salmon will be flaky when it is done. Cook time will vary depending on thickness.
  • When done, remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes.  Serve with your favorite side dishes.

Notes: 
Storing and reheating  
Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
Helpful tips
  • Any type of salmon works- fillets or whole both cook up nicely. 
  • Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of your salmon. 
  • This recipe can be made on the grill ( wrapped in foil)  or in an air fryer.
  •  Don’t overcook salmon. Check for doneness at the 15 minute mark.
  • Let the salmon rest for about 5-10 minutes after pulling it out from the fridge.
