These juicy stovetop bison burgers are easy to make, packed with clean and lean protein
and full of Mediterranean-inspired flavors. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal- enjoy with buns or lettuce wrapped.
Add all the ingredients to a large bowl. Using your hands, gently combine just until mixed.
Form 4 patties- shape into a ball then gently press down.
Using a non-stick pan, spray with non-stick spray over medium heat. Place 2 patties down and cook for about 5-6 minutes then flip it over and cook the other side for about 5 minutes. Internal temp should be about 155-165 degrees F.
When the burgers are done, remove and let them sit for a few minutes. Assemble your burger as desired.
Notes
Notes:Storing and reheating: Store the bison patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2-3 days.Helpful tips:
Do not overwork the ground bison.
Gather the spices in a small bowl, mix and then distribute the spices over the bison.
Place the patties in the fridge for about 30 minutes to firm back up. This will help the patty stay intact when cooking.
If grilling, make sure the grill plates are oiled well to prevent sticking and breaking.
