Avocado Cottage Cheese Dip

My Avocado Cottage Cheese Dip is both effortless to make and refreshing. Made with lowfat cottage cheese, fresh cilantro, lemon juice and creamy avocado, this dip is a must try. This dip will make store bought dips a thing of the past.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 large avocado
  • ¼-½ cup cilantro
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Kosher salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Place all of the ingredients into a food processor.
  • Blend until smooth -about 2 minutes.
  • Adjust salt if needed. Transfer into a container and place it in the fridge for about 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend. Serve with your favorite veggies or pita bread.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2-3 days.
Helpful tips:
  • Use ripe avocados: Soft avocados will give the best texture.
  • Adjust the acidity: Start out with half of the lemon juice and add more if you prefer.
  • Make ahead: This will give the flavors time to settle in.
    Experiment with flavor: Try adding a touch of cumin or other herbs like basil, dill or parsley.
