Reasons you will love this dish:

– This zesty italian seasoning mix is great in pasta sauces, on top of mac and cheese, season ground beef, pot roast or pork chops, or in homemade salad dressing or in pasta salads. – Homemade seasoning has wonderful flavor and you can control how much salt you add or you can even leave it out. – Good Italian seasoning only takes 5 minutes to make!

Ingredients:Dried basil.   – Dried oregano. – Granulated garlic powder.  – Paprika.   – Onion powder. – Dried parsley. – Kosher salt. – Ground thyme

1. Using a measuring spoon, gather all the herbs and spices to a small bowl.

2. Combine with a small whisk or other utensil. 3. Store in a glass airtight jar with a lid at room temperature. Store homemade seasonings in your kitchen cabinet for up to 6 months.

Making spice blends at home are simple. The best thing you can do is make sure you are using fresh spices. Always check the expiration date and make sure spices are always stored properly in your spice cabinet and not near alot of heat.

Tips: Use this zesty spice on garlic bread- slather butter and sprinkle on top and bake. Use it in salad dressings along with extra-virgin olive oil and red wine vinegar, or as a dry rub to meats like salmon, sheet pan chicken thighs, beef and pork. Add a dash to the top of cheesy dishes like fettuccine Alfredo, mac and cheese or a grilled cheese sandwich.
