So, I hear you want to make Ground Turkey Shakshuka. You’ve come to the right place. This is a delicious twist to a classic.

What is Shakshuka?

Shakshuka is a traditional breakfast dish in North Africa and also in the Middle East. Originally it is eggs that are poached in a tomato sauce and seasoned with amazing spices.

 Tips for Great Shakshuka

You can omit the meat from this recipe to keep it vegetarian. You can use ground beef or ground chicken. This is delicious when made the night before and the spices get to marinate in the sauce.

Ingredients: Ground turkey Large eggs Whole peeled tomatoes White onion Red bell pepper Garlic  Multiple spices

How to make

Preheat a large skillet. Add the onion, peppers and garlic.Let them cook until the juices start to sweat.

Add in your meat

Add the spice and meat. Let that cook for about 15 minutes. Then add in the whole peeled tomatoes. And crush them with a wooden spoon.

 Let the sauce simmer

Carefully add the eggs one by one. Then let them simmer in the sauce.until done.
