Welcome! My name is Kristina and I’m so grateful you’re here!

Hello from the beautiful and not always raining Seattle! 😜 I’m Kristina and I would like to introduce myself.

First off, I’m a wife and mom. (and a dog mom too!) I’m also a Food and Wellness Blogger and Food Photographer.

I have lost over 75 pounds naturally and have kept it off for over 17 years. (You can read the full story here.)

Some things I like to do in my spare time are work out, spend time with my family, explore new neighborhoods and eat.

Not only eat but I love to cook from scratch.

The kitchen brings me solace. There is something about feeding the people I love the most with something that came from my heart.

How it started:

Way back when I was in 8th grade, I had a home economics class. They taught me how to make an omelette. I don’t remember all the ingredients that were used- but I think it was milk, egg, canned tomato and seasonings. I remember preparing it in the pan, serving it up and taking a bite and then… I smiled.

I had just created my first dish!

Even better, I liked it.

I was super excited to try this at home but as you will learn later in my blog about my background, my mom was scared I was going to burn down the house. She had to be present in order for me to cook. At least that is what she told me. I thought to myself – burners must be a scary thing!!

Well, we happened to have all the ingredients for this omelette so there I was at home trying to recreate my masterpiece. My mom tried it and was like oh yea this is good, now turn off the stove and double check the stove again.

Sheesh!!!

So needless to say, my middle school omelette didn’t make me famous.

Actually I think her concern over the stove made me a bit scared to use one. LOL

How’s it going:

I’ve came along way since that day. I graduated from Culinary School and I even own a double oven, soooo- I mean business!

I also started learning Food Photography over the past year. I share a lot of my journey on here as well.

I created this blog because God gave me a gift and made me passionate about cooking and my health. I want to help people reinvent themselves in the kitchen- or in life.

I want to motivate women with their health journeys through teaching consistency, balanced nutrition, and a mindset shift. But most I’m importantly, I want to inspire to live the life they dream about. Whether that be losing weight, going for that promotion, starting a family, or pursuing your passions.

Let me tell you, after a year like 2020, I don’t want to waste another moment not living life doing something I love.

I hope to bring people together through good food, cultural celebration and love.

All the photography and recipes on my website are my own unless otherwise stated.

If I haven’t said it already, thank you for stopping by my blog. I appreciate it! I hope you can grab a glass of wine and stay awhile.
